Waltham, Mass. — Product development firm Boston Engineering today named Bill Buckley to lead the company’s quality initiatives for product development consulting and its corporate operations, which includes business continuity. His role includes maintaining best practices for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certification, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance.
In addition to day-to-day operational activities, Mr. Buckley has been leading Boston Engineering’s COVID-19 response task force. Boston Engineering continues its operations to advance projects for federal agencies (DoD and civilian) and medical device/biomedical companies. Prior to joining Boston Engineering, Mr. Buckley oversaw quality initiatives for renowned manufacturers including Bose Corporation and Intel, as well as a product development consulting firm. His quality management background spans commercial operations, medical device product development, and manufacturing.

He applies product development best practices throughout the product development lifecycle, including: corrective and preventative action (CAPA), design failure mode and analysis (DFMEA), and lean manufacturing. Additionally, he is a certified ISO Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (product development), ISO 13485 (medical device development), and ISO 14001 (environmental management).
