Boston Engineering Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

Boston Engineering is proud to announce that we have successfully passed our Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 assessment and earned the full 110-point score, demonstrating complete implementation of all assessed security controls.

This milestone strengthens Boston Engineering’s ability to support defense organizations and government partners with engineering and product development programs that require rigorous protection of sensitive information.

CMMC Level 2 is designed to ensure organizations working within the Defense Industrial Base have implemented the cybersecurity practices necessary to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Achieving the full assessment score reflects Boston Engineering’s continued investment in the processes, systems, and security practices required to meet these expectations.

A Long-Term Commitment to Cybersecurity

Boston Engineering’s path toward CMMC readiness began in 2018 with early implementation of NIST SP 800-171 security controls. As Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements evolved, we continued strengthening our security program and aligning our practices with the CMMC framework.

Rather than treating certification as a one-time compliance exercise, Boston Engineering has made cybersecurity an ongoing priority. Years of disciplined preparation culminated in successfully completing our CMMC Level 2 assessment ahead of our targeted August 2026 deadline.
